Spay & Neuter Initiative Program (SNIP)
S.N.I.P (Spay/Neuter Initiative Program) assists eligible low-income pet owners with the cost of spay/neuter, routine vaccines, deworming and microchipping. The goal of the program is to decrease unwanted litters, increase pet health and improve access to veterinary care for low-income families within a 50km radius of Red Deer, AB.
Please note:
this program only applies to cats and dogs
owners are responsible for transporting their animals to Taylor Vet Clinic in Red Deer (6315 Horn Street) for 8-8:30 am on the day of your appointment. If you are late for drop off, you will be turned away and not rebooked.
rescheduling requires 72 hours notice. Failure to do so will result in not being rebooked.
vaccinations and microchipping are mandatory
eligible animals must be a minimum of 8 weeks old and 2 lbs
each household is eligible to spay/neuter one animal per year, unless there is no other pending applications waiting.
all approved applicants will be contacted by email.
Program costs:
Cats/Kittens MALE - $100
Cats/Kittens FEMALE - $150
Dogs/Puppies MALE - $200
Dogs/Puppies FEMALE $250
All costs include spay/neuter, vaccine (DAPP), deworming and microchipping.
